Give to Robby Kaufman’s Family

The annual Puget Sound Robby Kaufman Short Track Challenge is dedicated to the memory of Robby Kaufman.

Robby was the son of Donna and Rob Kaufman, the founders of Tacoma Twin Rinks and Puget Sound Ice Sports.

The entire Kaufman family have devoted innumerable hours toward the Puget Sound Skating Community by building and doing an enormous amount of work to maintain a space and venue for all ice sports – Hockey, Figure, and Speed.

For three decades, the Kaufmans have prioritized affordable ice time for young skaters over profits. Many of our nation’s top skaters got their start in facilities run by the Kaufmans.

Robby was going to carry on the work that Rob and Donna started.  In Robby’s absence, Puget Sound Speedskating Club is hoping to take this time and opportunity to give back to the Kaufmans,  Tacoma Twin Rinks and Puget Sound Ice Sports.  Our hope is that this annual benefit will be PSSC’s contribution to promoting speedskating for the Pacific Northwest.

We will collect donations and contributions up to the time of check in at the meet.  We will present the proceeds of the benefit to the Kaufman family at the end of the meet.

Please send your contributions to the Kaufman family to the Venmo for Judith Oh (Marley’s mom).  No gift is too small or too big.  Please forward this message to anyone not on KakaoTalk. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask: judithoh@gmail.com or 510-551-5085.

Thank you again for your generosity with your time, energy and contributions.
